This is copied and pasted from the Whirpool website:
If HC (hot and cold hoses reversed) appears in display, it means the hot and cold inlet hoses have been installed incorrectly. This code will appear at the end of the wash cycle to indicate that the cold water hose is connected to the hot water inlet, and the hot water hose is connected to the cold water inlet.
