Works only on lower settings

My B&D KX1693 works fine on settings 1 & 2 but when put on 3 nothing happens, the fan is not on and no heat produced.

Any ideas?

It could be a faulty setting switch.

Although if it is and this is your model, there aren't many spare parts available anymore.
