Pull tab adhesive on battery

Does anyone know what the battery pull-tab adhesives are inside macbook pro 2019 and where I could purchase one?

Long story short, (I naively thought) my only option was to open and check the battery of my 5 month old mbp that stopped turning on (as I moved country and couldn't avail of my warranty at home) and I was advised I would need to pay $700 to fix in the country I'm currently residing.

During this very short process of me testing the battery inside, the adhesiveness of the black tab over the battery got weaker and so no longer sticks. I know opening the mac 'voids warranty', but I now can get it back to my home country (after a lot of effort) to send back to the reseller I purchased it from- as I want to try avail of said warranty. The only problem is I'm worried about that little black tab and how it is no longer sticking, giving away the fact I opened the back up.

Does anyone know if this is a major cause for concern re warranty and if so, how can I fix it:(

Big regrets now obviously for opening it at all but it felt like no other option at the time. Hindsight..

(On image attached, mine was stuck to this black cover when I got it from the reseller, so only the tab part I need to replace)

On the model you posted the battery adhesive isn't installed with pull tabs accessible (like they are on similar era MacBook Airs for example). If you want to find a way to replace the worn down adhesive and make it look like you never removed the battery in order to fool Apple, then I'm not sure of any way to do that. Any third party adhesive you could purchase and apply would look different, and the condition of the battery might give things away anyway. You could still try it though and see what happens! I'd recommend using some sort of double-sided black anti-static tape. Something like this might work but it's a risk. Good luck!

First don’t fret about the warranty, most countries laws allow battery replacement as a normal user thing. Apple won’t bust you on that.

But you do need to take the battery out again and clean off the old adhesive so the fresh adhesive can grip properly.

I find te 3M Command release strips are by far the best solution Command Large Refill Adhesive Strips

I use the all the time and later when you need to replace the battery it’s a lot easier!
