The screw keeps turning forever

When I opened the back cover, the screw that comes out immediately doesn't tighten properly. It refers to the screw mentioned in Step 6 on this page: Reemplazo del joystick izquierdo del Nintendo Switch

I have repaired several Joy-Con controllers before, but with all of them, this screw keeps turning indefinitely, and I couldn't tighten it properly. If there are any solutions or if I am doing something wrong, please kindly let me know
