Will a screen replacement fix bad flickering after a drop

My phone fell out my pocket and there’s a crack that goes across the phone from one end to the other. The top half shows a fine display but with the bottom half the screen is flickering really bad and you can’t see anything. The display is completely messed up on the bottom half and the phone is useless. If I replace the screen , will it fix all this or do I need to get anything else fixed?

I have a similar problem, my phone was dropped & cracked, screen was only showing the top half. Didn't notice any flickering until after the screen was replaced. I've done everything that the internet says to do with no result other than I have waisted several hours taking the phone apart twice & hours upon hours of reading the same "solutions" that does not seem to be working.

All I know to do now is to return the screen. I'm tired of messing with this P.O.S.

yes, it will, but....

have you tried reseating connectors on the board before you waste money on a screen?

im assuming there is no cracks as you didn't mention them, but if there is youmight just need a new screen as cracks can cause weird glitches, but if there are none, try reseating the screen connectors

COMPLETION ANSWER: Poor answer quality

When it comes to Samsung phones with a screen where part of the screen is bad (especially after being dropped) is it almost always leads to a replacement screen :-(. The issue with Samsung phones has always been screen cost; for example, I have family who has the S22+. He managed to break this one, too, and he broke it and increased the high score to 7 devices killed due to screens... Sigh, I give up trying to mitigate it. I already decided against repair because I can buy the U1 variant of his phone for a little more and ditch the U carrier-locked version.

The guide posted by @timtomissus is correct for your phone, but you almost certainly damaged the screen and have to spend close to ~$250 to fix this phone.
