Which Logic Board and related components can be used for replacement

I have the MacBook Pro of my brother who passed away in July 2021 and the MacBook Pro was purchased only few months before. The laptop is locked via cloud and therefore I am thinking of replacing the Logic Board with a spare new one. Will this be able to start the MacBook Pro as a new unit? If so which components do I need to replace? That is, Logic Board, Trackpad etc?

Thanks for your answer which should be the normal process of getting the laptop activated.

However, I stay in Europe and my brother was in the USA. The executor was his estranged daughter who had never seen him till after his death. She emerged out of the woods to claim his estate after his death. We are enemies now and she is very unlikely to help me. Therefore I am willing to spend whatever is necessary to activate the laptop by replacing the components which can help me start it as a new machine with my registration details. Would you or anyone be able to advise which components need to be changed to achieve this? That means even if changing the model specs to a slightly older or better still even a newer version if possible.

There maybe a cheaper way!

Get a copy of your brothers death records and locate the sales slip for the system. Bring the system to an Apple Store. But focus on your bothers iCloud account once you get there you can reset the system like you are selling it. That should unlock it.

But let Apple help you. You’ll likely need documentation you are the executor of the estate or have the person who is join you.

Don’t take no and be patient as you may need a second trip or phone call to get to someone with the skills to fix this.

If that fails, all you’ll need is the logic board with its TouchID button as they need to be replaced together.

Here’s the older 2018 guide which is basically the same Reemplazo de tarjeta lógica de MacBook Pro 13" Touch Bar 2018

@sunilpatil - review the link I posted that goes over the logic board & TouchID button replacement which is all that’s needed.
