If the laptop's charging light indicates that the laptop's battery is charging but it isn't, create a battery report to check the status of the battery.

In the report, compare the Design Capacity value versus the Full Charge Capacity value to check how good the battery still is. For a good battery the values should be nearly the same. You can work out as a percentage how good the battery still is by using the formula Full Charge capacity value x 100 ÷ Design Capacity value.

If it is determined that the battery is faulty, here's the owner manual for the laptop. Go to p.18 to view the procedure to remove the battery.

Usually the battery model number is printed somewhere on the battery. Search online using the battery model number only to find suppliers that suit you best.
