Black vertical lines on MacBook display
These lines appear at random, and this text also appears sometimes when restarting... Any ideas what the problem might be?

So you want to get your MacBook Pro out of jail! Sadly, you’ll need to pay the jailer to get your system out.
Your issue is a scanning issue within the displays T-CON logic. This is likely not repairable as it will require deeper skills to locate the capacitor which is failing. @danj Thanks! So just to confirm, are you 100% sure that that is the problem? I just don't want to buy it if it's not the part I need lol
@steury2004 - I’ve seen this before. But to prove it connect an external display which would show a clean image when the internal is messed up.
