80” Sharp LC 80LE650U has error code 1 slow blink and 1 fast blink

My Sharp TV won’t turn on..have tried the reset sequences to try to get to the service screen to reset the Backlight error. I replaced the backlights and now I have two slow blinks and 5 fast blinks. What else could be the issue? Power supply? T-con board? Main board?

@dolaugh so right now, your TV does not turn on. Correct? All you get is the blink code but it does not turn on.

That’s correct..it went from one slow and one fast error code to 2 slow and 5 fast blinks now

I did replace the backlights..it was a chore on an 80” screen. That is when the error codes went from 1 fast and 1 slow to two slow and 5 fast blinks

I disconnected the ribbons on the t-com and the backlights did not come on nor did the tv..I’m back to one slow and one fast blink

- de

I did the reset sequence..the backlights turned on with the t-com ribbons disconnected…so it seems it is the t-com that needs to be replaced

The 2-5 blink code can be a bad T-con board or even a panel issue. Try disconnecting the ribbon cables between the T-Con and the panel. If the TV then powers on, the panel has failed. If the TV still has the 2-5 code, I would change the T-Con board. Do you have a multimeter? Post some good pictures of all of your boards after you remove the back cover. Post those pictures with your QUESTION. Agregar imágenes a una pregunta existente

Hey @oldturkey03 ..look at my last photo added and let me know what you think is the problem ..finally got the TV picture to show up..but it has lines all over it.

@dolaugh your TV has a broken LCD. Can’t fix that. It’ll need a replacement display which will be hard to come by.

I bet my shirt it got busted with the big suckers that shopjimmy sells with their LED bars. Tools designed for windows, not screens. We can clearly see the circle of the suction cup that broke it...
