Hi,

You may have to check if the Power On button is working electrically, i.e. that there is continuity through the button when it is operated.

Here's the maintenance and service guide taken from the support webpage for the laptop.

Go to p.55 to view the procedure to remove the USB/card reader/power button board.

Be safety aware when working inside a laptop, always disconnect the battery from the motherboard as soon as it is possible to do so.

There is always power on the motherboard somewhere and you don't want to create more problems than what you've got by touching something you shouldn't, which may have power connected to it. The power button is not a power isolating button.

Once you have access to the board use an Ohmmeter to test the button, if it is faulty then the part number for the board is at the top of p.55. Search online using the part number only to find suppliers that suit you.

If the power button tests OK, what is the model number of the motherboard (is it a Hagrid 6050A2983401?). Knowing this makes it easier to hopefully find the schematics so that further testing can be done.
