started smoking from back vent then stopped
My kitchen aid mixer stated to smoke from back vent then stopped.

There could be a number of things that smoked. Without opening it up it is impossible to tell what failed and burned up. Unplug the unit before attempting to disassemble! You'll need to open it up and see what burned. Take pics along the way so you can put it back together properly.
