Keyboard partially working after battery replacement

Hi, I replaced the battery in a mid mbp but the keyboard has some keys that are not working at all and were working before.

Anyone has come across this issue?

Thank you!

NOTE: after a night turned off, turned it back on, still not working, 15 minutes after being, its working. I suspect a restart will break it again

NOTE 2: without turning it off, the cmd isnt working..

NOTE 3: all keys are working. Scared to restart…

I'm interested in the batteries temps when the keyboard works and when its not.

Is it only a few keys or the full keyboard failing? Open up the keyboard viewer so you can visually check each key: System Prefs > Keyboard > Show keyboard & emoji viewers in menu bar. Then using the menu select Keyboard viewer.

Only a few keys but at the moment, the whole keyboard appear to be working. Yesterday many keys werent and this morning after fresh restart so I can drain the battery and plug it for 5 hours (calibration) keyboard was failing on some keys. Now after it was turned on for 2 hours, all keys appear to be working and I am afraid that if I reboot it will do it again.

edits: I dont think the viewer is available in big sur?

@karen12 - The view is there ;-}

Do you see the flag in the top right of the menu bar? If you do click on it.
