Where to source good replacement screen?

Here’s the maintenance and service guide for the laptop series.

Go to p.26 item #2 to find the part numbers for all the LCD panels that are compatible with the laptop.

Search online using the part number only for the type of panel you want to install, to get suppliers that suit you best. The part number can usually be found on the back of the LCD panel if you wish to verify that you’re ordering the same panel as is there already.

As regards to buying from a reliable source, I feel that recommendations provided by others are too subjective as you don’t know what criteria is being used by the person recommending the seller etc.

It is better to maybe use them just to provide information regarding what suppliers are out there and then make your own judgement.

Once you have found a supplier (or three) check for reviews to see how others have experienced dealing with them, check their returns policy i.e. good, bad etc and after that you will just have to use your gut feeling as to whether they’re OK or not. With Ebay I never buy from a seller who has <99.0% positive feedback but that is just me.
