Did you figure this out? I have the same problem. My dishwasher does great except its leaving the rinse water and I can't force it to drain until it has sat a couple hours.

Here’s the tech sheet for the dishwasher.
Try running the diagnostic tests as described in the tech sheet and check for any error codes etc.
If no codes then run the DW as per normal and when it doesn’t drain, disconnect the power and disconnect the harness from the drain motor and measure the drain pump motor resistance to check if it is within specs i.e. 15Ω-60Ω across pin1 and pin 3 of motor in case it is breaking down due to the current flowing through it.
If the drain pump is faulty search online for WPW10348269 to find suppliers that suit you.

@jayeff you are a godsend. I ran the diagnostics. The dishwasher was not level.
Forgive me for taking so long to thank you. But, I wanted to run the dishwasher several times before updating the post. It works like new!
I still think it is strange that it drained the wash water ok and wouldn't drain at all when hot. Maybe running the diagnostics reset it somehow. (I had tried to reset it by cutting power before).
I think that not being level may have had more to do with the problem than the dishwasher just requiring a reset.
Hopefully it was the cause of the problem and that you have no more troubles with it.
