MacBook Pro A1278 keyboard flex too thick
I bought a keyboard online, but could not insert the keyboard flex. The old flex is .009” thick, the new one .011” thick. What is the thickness of the one you sell?
Es esta una buena pregunta?

Are you sure you got the correct keyboard?
Here’s the iFixit part MacBook Pro Unibody (A1278) Keyboard
I haven’t had any issues with them.

Yes I did, though it doesn't fit.. It was described as fitting the A1278, all 13-inch macbook pros from 2009 to 2015 (mine's 2011), with a pretty exhaustive list of the models it fits, including mine. What baffles me is how this discrepancy could exist without everyone noticing. They must sell large numbers of these without issues. No two ways about it, though. Micrometers do not lie, and the flex WOULD NOT go into the connecter. I could slide the old one in easily.
@ffixitwell - I would recommend you speak directly with the store folks to see what they can tell you. This is a public blog area which people share their problems and people volunteer their help. iFixit supports our efforts!
I didn't get any response from them, they don't have a "contact us", just an questions page. My question went unanswered.
I'll check with some local mac repair places. If I get an answer, I'll post it here.
@ffixitwell - I'm confused ?? You bought the part from iFixit or some other source? Again I've never encountered an issue with the iFixit keyboards.
Okay, sorry. Let me clarify. This was a keyboard from Sunmall. The mystery is why it won't fit. It just can't be the case that their keyboard flexes are too thick to fit into the connectors on most macs. I can't see why there would be any variability in the mac keyboard connector or in aftermarket keyboard production. But there is. It's possible I just got a defective one, but that seems really odd.
If you have an ifixit keyboard and can measure the thickness and find that it is close to 0.009 ", then I can just order it and be done.
In any event, thanks for your help.
