Hi @caleb91,

Disconnect the keyboard from any power source i.e. unplug keyboard cable from computer or remove keyboard batteries. You don’t give make and model info so assuming it is either a USB or a PS/2 keyboard i.e. cabled. If it is a Bluetooth keyboard then remove the batteries.

Having power connected will only cause more damage if there is still water inside the keyboard.

The impurities in the water causes corrosion and provides circuit paths for the electricity which were not in the keyboard’s operating design and could damage the components. The corrosion starts immediately and is ongoing until it is completely cleaned away.

You need to dis-assemble the keyboard and clean all the affected parts using Isopropyl Alcohol 99%+ (available at electronics parts stores) to remove all traces of corrosion and water. If possible do not use "rubbing alcohol" as in some cases this is only 70% IPA or less, can contain additives and is not as effective. If you do have to use it check the label to verify the amount of IPA. The higher the percentage of IPA the better

Here is a link that describes the process. Electronics Water Damage

Fixing keyboards is difficult and most times they are simply replaced as you can cause more problems than what you had if you’re not careful.

You can only try and see if it can be salvaged
