How to reset the C150 error?

My TM5 shows a C150 error message and immediately shuts down. The problem is a stuck/broken lid sensor. After repairing the sensor the TM5 still shows the error so it must be stored somewhere in the device. How to reset this error store? There are some ebay crooks “selling” you the C150 reset for a hundred bucks so it must be able to be done somehow. Any ideas are appreciated. Just exercising my right to repair.

Let's do some necrophilia, there is a way to do it, it is a linux based OS, sadly the "ebay crooks" don't share their secrets.

And those "replacing nand memory" BS videos are literally scam procedures to bait people to pay a "fee" to unlock their TM5 displays.

I don't have a TM5 to do things to but USB to serial adapter then using putty to rcon into the device is apparently the way it's done. TM5 proprietary port seems to be (PIN1: +5V, PIN2: DATA-, PIN3: DATA+, PIN4: GND)

It's really a pity, the error can only be reset with the original software from Thermomix.

I do not believe this as there are enough independent eBay postings offering such a „service“. I wonder if it’s even legal for Vorwerk to cripple our devices like this on purpose.

This is old but I will still answer. C150 is a general fault normally caused by a stuck/malfunctioning lid sensor. It locks down the TM5 for good unless you have it fixed by Vorwerk service. Fixing the sensor/lever, cleaning etc is not the issue but once the TM5 locked up into C150, it can "apparently" only be reset after fix by Vorwerk or at least their proprietary software.

"Naomi" is referring to plenty of ebay postings by dubious sellers to ship you a reset/functioning display&controller board in return for your locked one and a "fee" around 100$. That is indicative that the firmware has been broken and certain people have access to software tools to reset the controller but there is 0 public info or availability to this day (3 years later)

I also got the C150 error on the screen and what they tell me is that I have to take it to the Vorwerk Technical Service, as well as having a high price, for a software update and in some cases, they say they have to change the screen, making the fault more expensive. Have you found a solution?
