Resetting the watch does not clear security pattern

I forgot my security pattern. have tried resetting the watch several times. The watch restarts but still has security pattern in the configuration.

Have you tried this?

  1. Make sure Gear is powered off.
  2. Press and hold the power key until you see either the Galaxy Gear rebooting… .
  3. Release the power key and then repeatedly press the power key until you see the Reboot Select Mode screen.
  4. Press the power key to highlight the "recovery" option.
  5. Long press the power key (5-8 sec.) to select it. The device will reset and return to the factory initialization screen."
