I also can't find the rear glass. I called Google, and they mentioned there's a shortage. There are some at UBREAKIFIX, but they won't sell parts. I sure hope Google isn't going down the path of Apple.

I would try a hard reset (holding the power, and home button until apple logo appears). If that doesn't help, and assuming your iPhone is no longer under warranty, I would open it, and disconnect battery. I then would check the condition, looking for any bulging etc. I would also take a multi meter and check the battery voltage. Has the iPhone ever had any water damage?

It is very possible that is what happened. It is very important to disconnect the battery. I even go the extra mile, by holding the power button down, while battery is disconnected, to drain capacitors. This is a long shot, but disconnect battery, and try a 3rd screen(if you have one).

I figured out the issue, and would like to reply, incase the next guy comes across this. I checked the power supply, and it was good. Did a full re-flow, and it fixed the issue. Works great.

First, I would like to know what brought them to that conclusion?

I just had this happen to me; open the iPhone, and make sure the connector is properly connected. I disconnected battery, took off the metal cover, and un-plugged the the touch ID sensor,made sure it was clean, & undamaged, then plugged it back in, and tightened everything back in. Fired the phone up, and it worked great. Hope this helps

I would open it and make sure its completely dry of any liquid, then continue with troubleshooting. Continuing to use it with potential liquid in it, could further damage it.

I personally wouldn't attempt to straighten. I have come across them a couple times. I just replace the cases. They can be found on different sites. And, can be had for cheap. Its a solid repair.

I would try another screen. I would rule that out before venturing into the backlight repair. Also, look at the connector when you take it apart.

Sounds like either a bad charge port, or battery. I would open it up, using the guides, and check battery operation, along with the port. Could also be a bad battery connector on the logic board.
