How to fix the Epson L220 All red light blinking permanently?

Epson L220 All Light Blink, They say this problem came from roller jam and sensor of the printer. I already done those things and i fixed my epson problem many times, however after not using my printer for more than 5 hours the problem will return again.

If the paper and ink lights are blinking, that’s usually a waste ink pad (WIC says the pad is saturated) if it's persistent on these LCD-less Epsons. The rub is some are clearer about it in Epson Status Monitor than others so it trips people up unless you know how to quickly tell. I have taken it out before to be absolutely sure if I have doubts, but I usually find a black sponge when I actually check confirming the issue. The 2010-present models tend to go belly up over waste ink within 3-4 years, without fail; I am not surprised. The days of seeing machines like the C88+/R200 series run for 10 years ended when Epson lost money on workhorse models.

Sadly, it’s generally cheaper to dump the entire printer over WIC problems. The part and required SW tend to cost more than a new machine. Buy a B/W laser, especially if you do not need color. Even for me, it's a tough situation knowing how to check; I can reset the counter and know how to "hack" it to dump it outside but the printers behave like you didn't install a module you can empty and need another reset every few years.

I'm glad Epson has chipped this pad in recent years and finally made it actually serviceable, but that also comes at a price: the printers cost more because they can't sell you another one as often, it's ~$20-25 a pad, the printer refuses to do ANYTHING until you replace yet another consumable. I don't miss the Epson WIC utility key resets, but they use the same chips (potentially also unresettable) so reuse is not easy. Can't win it all, but I'm not going to be shocked if the 88/69/68 25% permanent RO issue is still there knowing Epson's fetish for making unresettable chips out of spite.

1. Cancel all print jobs.

2. Open the scanner unit and remove any jammed paper.

3. Close the unit and turn the power off and then on again.
