Hi @superjulianbros

Try connecting the Atari to an old analogue VCR’s RF input and have the VCR connected to the TV via a Component or Composite video cable connection

Switch the TV to the appropriate input and tune the VCR to CH2 or 3 (or 3 or 4) coming from the console

Most digital TVs can scan for the analogue TV signals output from the console but the resolution at 240p may not be accepted by the TV. (Atari is not shown in the list in the link but because it is also 240p it may be the same as the others)

Hello,

I have a Atari 2600 Light Sixer. I come from Germany. If I search for a Channel and choose wire, ATV and click on start, then it won´t find.

I did it with Channel A and B, but both didn´t work.

I don´t know what I should do.

Sincerely

Julian

@superjulianbros Did you try as suggested with a VCR (video cassette recorder) in between the Atari and the TV?

As I said the TV won't be able to recognize the signal from the Atari.

Hello,

I thank you so much. Can you send me a link for a VCR. I don´t know how I should search for it.

@superjulianbros

Here is a link that may hopefully help you. Scroll down to find "video rekorders". Maybe the older the better as the older ones were used with analogue TV signals and not digital TV signals

Perhaps you know someone who already has one and doesn't use it or look on other websites selling used equipment this maybe I don't know what is the best where you are.

Also maybe charity shops that sell 2nd hand goods etc.

You don't need one that plays tapes you're just using it to see if it can covert the Atari RF signal into a video signal (AV or Component) that the TV can understand, so the cheaper it is the better as you don't know that it will even work until you try it.

Good luck

Hello,

can I just buy the thing that change from RF to COAX?

Or have I to buy a video rekorder?

Sincerely

Julian
