Hi,

Possible reasons for ice build up in the refrigerator:

a). Faulty refrigerator defrost heater, part #19-5 fridge section parts

Here’s a link that shows how to test for a refrigerator evaporator defrost system failure. Scroll down to fault code 25E and click on view.

b). Blocked drain from under the evaporator unit in the refrigerator to the evaporator pan under the compartments. Not sure which it is, as it shows part #11 & #15-Cabinet parts so presumably one is for the freezer evaporator defrost drain and the other is for the refrigerator evaporator defrost drain.

Also due to the ice build up the fridge evaporator fan (part #2-21 fridge parts) may be iced up and stopped preventing the cold air being blown throughout the compartment therefore the fridge warms up.

Your model has two evaporator units that provide the cooling, one in the freezer and one in the refrigerator, that is why there is emphasis on checking the refrigerator evaporator defrost system.

I don’t know how to force a defrost cycle in your model to prove that the control board is OK (it initiates and controls the defrost cycle in both compartments) and I couldn’t find a free service manual online but here’s the service manual if you wish to purchase it. This should have all the information.
