Hello hi,
How do I connect an on/off switch to my 2009 MacBook A1181?
I did try connecting the a red wire to the first power on pad then a black wire on the 2nd power pad but I clicked it on the on position and it doesn’t turn on I would like to know what I'm doing wrong thanks!

It sounds like you have a very messed up keyboard so you really have no choice here other than replace the upper case (keyboard). Here’s the guide you’ll need to follow Sustitucion de la carcasa superior de MacBook Core 2 Duo and here’s the needed part MacBook Top Case, Keyboard, US (SR/08/09) White (recycled), Apple P/N 922-9550

Can you fill us in a bit more here. Is the system working properly now via the keyboard or is that the issue?

Yes the 2009 a1181 macbook motherboard works good I just wanna add an off and on switch instead of buying a keyboard thanks but idk how to wire it up
