iPhone 6 Logic Board replacement

Hello everyone,

I’ve got a question that I need assistance with an iPhone 6 that appears to have a logic board problem and I’m looking to get it replaced. However, the logic board is unlocked and need assistance with a replacement. I’m curious if I can purchase a logic board from a service provider and replace it that way or do I have to get an unlocked logic board? If I have to get an unlocked logic board, does anyone have a good place (other than ebay or amazon) to get a replacement?

also for additional info; When I try to restart the phone I get error codes 40 & 4013. I have replaced the battery, screen, and have a new charging cable and I still get the error codes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. If there is anything else that you need insight on let me know.

Error 4013 is usually associated with the NAND. At the very least the NAND would have to be re-balled. I have never heard of a service provider just supplying a logic board. Aliexpress sells them for around $70 but you must make sure it comes with the original home button.

Surprisingly, it appears to be a thing here in the USA. Having a logic board that's affiliated with a service provider. Then again I could be wrong.

I would like to thank you for the assistance on the matter.

Also, after looking up what you've mentioned. Can I be able to upgrade the logic board with higher memory than what was originally equipped, that being 16GB.

Yes and no. You can buy a new logic board that has a higher memory, but you really cant upgrade a iPhone's memory unless you can reball, solder and even if you do you will need more tools to upgrade it.

I'm looking at the whole logic boards and they can go up to 64gb with touch capabiliity and up to 128 gb without touch capability. I'm personally thinking of going with what was originally installed, but part of me wants to upgrade to the higher amount with touch capabilty

@creativechef253 The amount of memory is not linked to apple or any service provider. I would recommend 64GB for the iPhone 6.
