Hi,

How long did you leave the charger plugged into the shaver?

You said “Purchased a Braun 7898cc now a while ago and used it only like three times.” Depending on how long ago this was and whether or not you charged the batteries in between times, the batteries in the shaver may have become depleted beyond recovery.

Try leaving the charger in for 1-2 hours and see if the batteries are “kick started” back into life and start charging again.

If it eventually shows that it is charging, allow the shaver batteries to fully charge before trying to use the shaver.

If it does start remember to charge the batteries once in a while, maybe every week, even if you’re not using the shaver to prevent this from happening again.

If the shaver doesn’t start to charge at all, according to the service manual there is a 2 year manufacturer’s warranty on the shaver.

If the shaver is not that old, contact the Braun customer service centre in your location as per the directions in the warranty link above.

Even the clean and renew system isnt turning on.Could that mean that it is the chargers fault?

@sour cookie

It could be.

According to the service manual the charger's output voltage specification should be printed on the charger itself.

If you have a DMM (digital multimeter) you could measure the charger's output to see if it is working or not.

If you haven't got a DMM or even if you have if the shaver/charger is less than 2 years old get it replaced under warranty. Don't try to fix it yourself. That's what warranties are for.
