iBook G3 M6497 no power from USB ports, burnt IC on the motherboard

I've bought an iBook G3 model M6497. Everything seems to work fine except for the USB ports, neither of which works at all. Checking with a multimeter, the ports don't even output any power.

While I was taking it apart to upgrade the HDD, I noticed a burnt IC on the motherboard suspiciously near the ports. I thought maybe this is could be the issue, but the IC is burnt beyond recognition and I can't seem to find a schematic online.

Can someone help identify the IC or know where I could find a schematic? If you need more info ofc feel free to ask

Be careful how much you spend on the donor board or parts - the snow iBooks are beyond common and go for pennies to the dollar. You can usually get a good one for about as much as a major part like a tested motherboard. If it isn’t cheap to fix, find another one - they aren’t expensive and even minor parts that are common can total out a snow iBook G3.

Anyway, it’s not going to be easy to find a schematic for this since it’s older and not something most people will try and repair. Your best bet is to find a good example and use this for parts, or find a bad GPU motherboard with good components by the USB port, and repair the board you have.

The chip is too burned to get the number off of it without a schematic, so a board or schematic is a required reference on this one.
