Touchpad and Keyboard ribbon cable

Hello

I have two questions:

1. I dismantled my laptop to clean the fan, but when I tried to plug in the ribbon cable for keyboard, the cable won't fit (it is stucked). I cannot push neither the white part nor the black part up because the way to plug it in is by pushing the cable down the white part. Here is the image of my cable:

And here is how I supposed to plug the cable in:

I am not sure if it is okay to force the cable in because it may break the cable. What should I do?

2. The touchpad ribbon cable is a little messy (It is difficult to plug it in and some of the metals look are curly at the tip). Is the cable is still usable or should I do something? Here is the image:

Sorry for my bad English

p.s. : My laptop is actually Asus X550z but the position of the ribbon cables is the same as asus x550a
