Hi @wildwest1 ,

Please verify the model number of the refrigerator as the number you supplied produces no results when searching online for schematics or parts etc?

The def. heater is open and verified voltage too heater after figuring out how to start def cycle. Pushing frig light switch 5 times with-in six seconds will start defrost - repeating this will also stop cycle.

There is no way that I know of to test the components at the board on this model. Bert, you did exactly what I would have done. When replacing the element, becareful of the evaporator fins. They are sharp and will slice your hands up.

I could not find your model. Check the fan first but when my central air condition pipes started freezing, it was low on freon or R22.

Evaporator Fan Motor

The evaporator fan motor draws air over the evaporator (cooling) coils and circulates it throughout the refrigerator and freezer compartments. Some refrigerators have more than one evaporator fan motor. On refrigerators with only one evaporator, the evaporator is located in the freezer compartment. If the evaporator fan is not working, it will not circulate the cold air to the refrigerator compartment. If this occurs, the freezer may still get cold, while the refrigerator will not get cold. To determine if the evaporator fan motor is defective, try turning the fan blade by hand. If the fan blade does not turn freely, replace the fan motor. Additionally, if the motor is unusually noisy, replace it. Finally, if the motor does not run at all, use a multimeter to test the motor windings for continuity. If the windings do not have continuity, replace the evaporator fan motor.

Hi @wildwest1 ,

Check if the defrost heater (system parts #F14) is OK and if so if then check if the defrost thermostat (system parts #21) is OK.
