I punctured the battery well it was hooked up. Will everything be ok?

Ok so I had and iPhone all hooked up ready to put back together and I punctured the battery like an idiot. I just need some help. I'm wondering will the phone be ok once I put a new battery in or is it an expensive paperweight now?

If a punctured battery is all the damage that’s been done you shouldn’t bee too concerned, unless you’ve seen smoke or bad sparking, a new battery should be all you need.
