Why my iPhone SE is not charging after disassembly?

Well guys, I need some help. Its the first time I disassembly and try to repair a phone. Case was cracked / bent, WiFi / Bluetooth antennas damaged. I fixed those, but now the phone won’t charge.

I tested the battery and it reads out 3.62v, so its empty, but not dead. Current behaviour testing with a lighting cable to the computer and/or charger is that the display turns on, I see that the battery is empty (red) but makes no difference at all. It’s like the iPhone detects the cable plugged in (Indeed it does if I connect / disconnect), but it won’t start the charging process. I tried removing the battery and I get absolutely nothing, so I think the connection between the battery and the motherboard its working as it should.

Ideas about what can it be? Could it be the charging port / flex?

So the low battery symbol is it showing the cable icon below battery as well even while plugged in?

If yes this would indicate a fault from the charging port assembly.

If it's showing low battery without plug in cable icon at bottom it means charger port is probably OK.

Another thing to test after doing the above is see if you get an apple logo at least when you have the battery disconnected and charger plugged into phone.

If you do see apple logo then I would suspect it is a bad battery causing the problem. 3.6V would indicate the battery will need to be charged a bit more to turn it on. 3.7V-3.8V is the minimum operating voltage for the phone to turn on.

Its just showing like this when I disconnect the cable. When I connect it, the cable icon disappears but the charging never starts, just the battery showing in red and doing nothing.

(I added image in the original post)

I do never see the Apple logo. It’s exactly what I wanted to try, but if I remove the battery it’s even worst, completely dead iPhone.

You might have pryed off some small capacitors/transistors from the motherboard close to the battery connector, this is one of those mistakes you do once and never again. Now i’m always carefull when disconnecting the batteries. Someone with microsoldering knowledge should be able to help you with this i think. I made red circles around the components that might have been knocked off to cause this issue.

Hope this helps.

I checked and took a photo, I’m adding it to the post. It seems the 4 are in place, no visible damage. I think I didn’t make pressure on the board at all. I’m waiting for a new lightning cable anyways. I’ll update after. Thanks because I didn’t know about this anyways.
