Hi, I have a Dell laptop such as model number Inspiron 3542. One day, the laptop's display is suddenly white color half of the top screen. First look like the vertical line is seen and it has become white in 2 minutes. Since then, the upper half of my laptop is white.
Please give me a solution. How can I fixed the problem? Here I gave two pictures for some information.

Hi,
Connect an external monitor to the laptop and check if its’ display is still OK when the laptop’s screen is faulty.
If its’ display show the same problems you may have a problem with the GPU or the motherboard in the laptop.
If the external monitor’s display is OK you may have a problem with the video cable (or video cable connections) but more likely with the laptop’s display panel itself.
Here’s a link to the service manual,(taken from this website). Scroll to p.76 to view the necessary pre-requisite steps and then the procedure to remove/replace the display panel.
Replacement screens are available online. Just search for the screen appropriate to your model specifications to get results for suppliers of the part. Usually the part number of the screen is printed on the back of the screen which may make it easier to get the correct one.
