New battery on MacBookPro not recognized

I just replaced my battery on my MacBook Pro 13" Retina Display Early 2013, that I purchased from iFixit. The battery is not being recognized. The machine powers up fine when plugged in. When I boot and get to the login screen it shows the battery symbol with a white X. When I login and access the System Preferences/Energy Saver/Battery, the battery shows 0% and clicking on "show battery status in menu bar" does nothing.

I already opened the machine back up to reseat the battery connector but not luck.

Can someone please suggest things to try?

Thanks

@tate16t- OK, the MagSafe adapter appears not to be connecting. What is the color of the MagSafe connector’s LED Amber or Green? Just to be sure you did take the snapshot with the MagSafe connected correct?

Review this Apple T/N to make sure you have the correct MagSafe adapter and the cable & connector surfaces are in good shape Apple Portables: Troubleshooting MagSafe adapters and lastly you may need a new DC-In Board, here’s the IFIXIT guide MacBook Pro 13" Retina Display Early 2013 MagSafe DC-In Board Replacement and here’s the needed part MacBook Pro 13" Retina (Mid 2012-Early 2013) MagSafe 2 DC-In Board

I tried these steps with power connected:

If the battery is nonremovable:

Choose Apple menu > Shut Down.

After your Mac shuts down, press Shift-Control-Option on the left side of the built-in keyboard, then press the power button at the same time. Hold these keys and the power button for 10 seconds.

If you have a MacBook Pro with Touch ID, the Touch ID button is also the power button.

Release all keys.

Press the power button again to turn on your Mac.

Once I release all keys the machine powers on. The battery is in the same state.

I guess you'll need to get a replacement battery. Give the IFIXIT store a call or email them for instructions to get a replacement. Store contact Info
