Hi,

Here’s a link that explains how you can temporarily continue to use the printer, but you really need to clean the waste ink pads and then reset the printer’s waste ink pad counters, to get it working again.

Here’s a link to a video that shows how to clean the waste ink pads in an Epson XP printer (hopefully it is the same for your particular XP model).

As suggested in the video after cleaning the waste ink pads you need to reset the counters.

Go online and search for Epson XP-620 reset waste ink counters to find results for suppliers of the reset software which you can purchase online

A printer's ink pad is at the end of its service life.

Please contact Epson Support.

I used a the WIC Reset Utility with the trial key - "trial" - from https://www.wic.support/ and it worked. This resets the waste ink counter to 90% and the printer came back to life.

I managed to reset mine using https://codeberg.org/atufi/reinkpy

It's a free and open source Python program

It supports several Epson models:

ET-2600, ET-2650, ET-2720, L355, L4160, SX400, XP-55, , XP-205, XP-315, XP-422,

XP-435, XP-510, XP-530, XP-540, XP-610, XP-620, XP-630,

XP-700, XP-760, XP-830, XP-850, XP-2150, XP-7100

I also replaced the ink pads with ones I found for cheap on Aliexpress: https://www.aliexpress.com/w/wholesale-e...

Screw Epson for the lack of support/transparency and all the third-parties taking advantage of this to charge people for using products they already own.

Screw companies that design products for the landfill, so they can make more money.
