Hi,

ifixit does not do repairs. Advice is offered on how to repair it yourself or what to do if you can’t.

When you say that the SIM card holder is “broke”, do mean that it is literally broken or that the SIM card is not being detected?

If it is not being detected, have you proven that the problem is the socket and not the SIM card by trying a different known working, network compatible SIM card in the socket to see if it works OK?

If the socket is broken or a different SIM also doesn’t work then the SIM socket will have to be replaced as usually they cannot be repaired.

The SIM card socket in your phone is mounted onto the systemboard. To remove/replace the socket you’ll need SMD (surface mounted device) soldering tools and expertise to effect the repair.

Here’s a link to just one supplier of the part. It is not a recommendation to use them. It is shown to give an idea of the cost of the part. There are other suppliers online that may suit you better. Just search for Lg Aristo Ms210 SIM socket part to get results.

If this all seems to daunting then I suggest that you contact a reputable, professional mobile phone repair service and ask for a quote to repair the phone. You’ll already have an idea of the cost of the part.

Hopefully this is of some help.
