Why cant I find a repair or a parts manuals for the Compal FL92 Laptop

Manufacturers of consumer electronics believe that all of their customers (that is people like you and I) are incompetent and generally stupid. We do not know how to repair things and only they know what we need. That is the reason for not providing service manuals to anyone that is not part of their cult. This goes for all of them (Apple, Toshiba, Bose and so on). If we can get the manuals we could actually repair things. We would not need to purchase new devices for minor repairs and cheap components etc. It would be their financial loss. They do not like to lose money! Pure Greed. Join the Right to Repair movement to start hitting them where it hurts.

For that you will have to disassemble your laptop and to check the connector etc. Of course, you could go ahead and just try to replace the LCD screen to rule it out as the cause. There are no schematics etc. available that I know off to assist you with figuring out the board. It may help if you give us any kind of numbers from the motherboard so we could try and determine who manufactured it etc. Post some good images of your board etc. with your question so that we can see what you see.
