I need to replace speakers for my charge3

I need to replace speakers for my charge3, i've searched on the internet without finding any results.

It seems nobody sells a single spare part like this unless you find a used charge3 to dismantle.

I only know they are 10w 2inch speakers but don't know the impedance (4 ohm? 8 ohm?).

I think I'll search for speakers with same technical data on ebay or similar, but first i need to know the impedance.

In youtube I'seen a video of a guy (probably russian) who is replacing the speakers using two which seems tweeters (https://youtu.be/E2nqUFaVSio ). Do anyone thinks is a good replacement?

So did you find a place to get speakers that fit? I don't wanna buy used ones since they may have the same problem I do with mine. Also don't want to order some from Russia since it takes so long to get them. Plus if anything goes wrong, difficult to get it resolved. Cheers, TQ

Hi @maxfoglianti ,

Measure the resistance of the 2" speaker using an Ohmmeter. (if you still have a good one that you can measure)

A rough rule of thumb is that the impedance value is about 15% more than the resistance value. Should be good enough to decide whether it is 2 Ohm, 4 Ohm or 8 Ohm etc.

It should be printed on the back of the speaker the ones I removed from mine are 4ohm

they are 4 ohm impedance 10 watts but the trick is the physical external size distance of the 4 holes allowing the screws to match. My JBL 3 right side gave away few weeks ago rattling as frequency test from 240 Hz to 60 Hz was put on so I will get few Diameter 3 '' Power 10 W impedance 4 ohm drivers with the widest frequency range possible preferably 60 Hz to 20 Khz trying to improve from the 2 JBL original ones and post results asap. If you get anything over 10 W power it will not work as the amps in the JBL will not push them right and with it no low frequency will be attained. I am not getting into Wattage AMP Voltage Amplitude Frequency math specifics because this will take more of your time and complicate things
