have you tried booting it in to safe mode and reinstalling new software?

- de

yes, I tried my USB flash drive to reinstall new software but it did not happen.

I clicked the update console and it’s stuck on a loading screen but not the greeen one what do I do?

- de

I’m currently experiencing this issue. I have opened task manager and did a reset. And that fixes it for a couple days but it ends up happening again, and then the only way to fix it is again another reset. I’ve looked online for the offline update there isn’t one under the serial number that is listed on my Xbox I have the original Xbox one that’s been discontinued any info or help would be great

Im kinda having this problem too! It cuts on and gets stuck or freezes at sign in. I cant get it to select any options

Quick fix Xbox One stuck on loading screen issue by factory resetting. Hold Eject and Sync button, click Power button; Wait for 2 start up tones to sound, a menu with 4 options will appear: Restart, Power off, Factory reset and Update off of Flash Drive; ... Then Xbox One will be boot normally again

Credit to Gareth Blackrope for his input

1. Power off, then unplug the power so that it is completely powered off.

2. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug back in.

3. Press and hold the Pair button and the Eject buttons and then press the Xbox button on the console.

( The Xbox Series S and the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition do not have Eject buttons. You can bring up the Xbox Troubleshooter on this console by holding only the Pair button (steps 3 & 4) and then pressing the Xbox button )

4. Continue holding the Pair and Eject buttons for 10-15 seconds.

5. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the Pair and Eject buttons after the second tone.

6. It should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Troubleshooter., Once in the troubleshooter window,

select RESET THIS XBOX, select KEEP MY GAMES AND APPS.

It will then go to 'Preparing Console' with a progress bar. Once finished it will reboot.

It will prompt you to restore your profile and settings, It will then search for updates

Worked for me thanks alot.

I followed these instructions, but it would get to 60% and hang. Turns out the HDD was toast. Replaced that and it works beautifully now.

It is important to note: from the off position hold the eject and side (or under button), then press the power once. Wait 10-20 secs until the second sound. Then you are right :) follow instructions above

1. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.

2. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.

3. Press and hold the Pair button and the Eject button on the console, and then press the Xbox button on the console.

( Note The Xbox Series S and the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition do not have Eject buttons. You can bring up the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter on this console by holding only the Pair button (steps 3 & 4) and then pressing the Xbox button )

4. Continue holding the Pair and Eject buttons for 10-15 seconds.

5. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the Pair and Eject buttons after the second power-up tone.

6. The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.

Once you are in the troubleshooter window,

select RESET THIS XBOX

select KEEP MY GAMES AND APPS.

It will then go to 'Preparing Console' with a progress bar. Once finished it will reboot.

It will ask you how you want to connect to the internet. Wired or wireless should be fine. Enter password for wireless (if chosen).

It will prompt you to restore your profile and settings, as should have backed up to your hard drive. Accept this.

It will then search for system updates - in my case 4,4GB as was reset to 2014!

Allow these to install- and your system should now be working again.

Hope this is helpful.
