What do you mean by not charging? If you plug it into the wall nothing happens? What are the specs of your laptop? What OS are you running?
More details please. Does the laptop turn on? Does the power adapter work? Does the laptop turn with the power adapter? What indication are you getting that the laptop is not charging?
