Why my lappy won't boot up?

On pressing the power button, the power LED turns on but there's no reaction from the laptop, the system doesn't turn on. Also, while trying to power it off, even holding the power button doesn't make the power LED off, we have to remove the battery and then only the power LED is gone. Please help me.... Please find a way for me to fix it. Thanks for your valuable time.

@rajwadkar07 remove your power adapter, your battery and your RAM. Then hold down the power button for something like 30sec. After that reinstall the power supply only. See if it powers up. Errors like this can be caused by bad memory modules, bad power supplies as well as bad batteries. Of course you can never rule out the power button or motherboard. Check the AC adapter first. Make sure that it provides proper voltages to your computer. Here is an online service manual that will help you to work on your computer.

So you checked your AC adapter? What voltage did you get?

I didn't check it, a professional did, they said RAM, Hard drive and charger was working fine.

@rajwadkar07 I am confused. you have a professional check those parts but not the computer? If they checked all the parts and you still do not have a working computer, exchange the motherboard after you check the CMOS battery, unles the professionals already checked that as well.

I would do all that old turkey said, but also while your in there, I would say disconnect your bios battery as well. Usually with a laptop they are encased in black plastic and plugged into the motherboard. I would take that out, then plug only your power button back into the motherboard, then hold it down. That will drain the CMOS and reset the bios to the factory settings. I would also suggest replacing the bios battery if you can because a completely dead battery could cause issues too. Best of luck!
