I would do all that old turkey said, but also while your in there, I would say disconnect your bios battery as well. Usually with a laptop they are encased in black plastic and plugged into the motherboard. I would take that out, then plug only your power button back into the motherboard, then hold it down. That will drain the CMOS and reset the bios to the factory settings. I would also suggest replacing the bios battery if you can because a completely dead battery could cause issues too. Best of luck!
