My tablet will not accept my SD card.

I have been trying to get my tablet to accept a couple of different SD cards and it doesn't want to take any of them. I haven't been able to do any update and can't save. What do I need to do?

Hi,

By 'accepts' do you mean that it is not reading the card or that you cannot insert the card fully?

Are you inserting it the correct way up?

Is the card 'clicking' into place, i.e push it in and youwill feel some spring tension, if you gently push it a bit further (if you can) it locks in. To remove it you have to push it in again bit further for it to spring out slightly? Apologies if you know how to insert a SD Card.

What capacity card are you trying to insert? The maximum capacity supported by the tablet is 32GB.

You did not mention what size or type of SD cards you have tried. Also did your tablet attempt to recognize any of the SD cards you tried by popping up a notification when you inserted the card? Just in case you're not aware, you do need to make sure the SD card is no larger than 32GB in storage capacity and is a microSD or microSDHC card. Here is a link to a spec sheet: https://www.cnet.com/products/rca-7-voya...

I also have linked a page that can help you with setting up your SD card which has some useful information: https://support.google.com/android-one/a...
