Why will my tablet not stay connected to wifi
my tablet does not stay connected to wifi very long. all other devices stay connected so it is within the tablet

Try installing the wifi manager app. If you can't connect to WiFi at all, you will need an .apk to download. On your PC, google search "wifi manager apk" and select a source to download from. Then, move the file to your tablet. Once on the tablet, find the file and install it by clicking on it. Hope this helps!

I finally got the VPN in 5 days it took mostly loveone I rename lenovo added a eso lenovo became loveone a it took an hour to get wifi hook up
My table lenovo if get connected to wifi to keep it hook up use bluetooth change his name and added an e name it loveone it hook to wifi got the VPN it took5 days frist try was 5year ago. The VPN install 1hour clean it up it up hope it speed's up

Hi,
Check your tablet's Keep WiFi on during sleep setting in the WiFi advanced settings area.
Not sure of your tablet but go to Home > Settings > WiFi & Networks, tap on WiFi (ensure it is switched On). There should be an options menu icon, usually 3 vertical dots, somewhere on the screen. Tap it and select Advanced.
Tap on the Keep WiFi on during sleep setting and select always.
There may also be a WiFi Optimization setting that you could check to see what the setting is. If it is On, turn it Off.

I have used this galaxy tab a for 6+ most. Now its suddenly disconnecting or wondering away while I am using it and I get a message about no Internet. I have rebooted several times. This has been happening for the 10-15 days. Help!!!
My tablet just started doing this too. I'll be using it and all of a sudden my WiFi is gone. I have to turn WiFi off and back on so that my tablet can pick up the signal. Also, I'm almost positive there is at least 1 new app that I didn't install.
Same here. Very frustrating!!! My tablet is 3 years old and wondering if it is a space issue?

In Any Case There Can Be Very Limited Problem With Your Tablet .
Just Follow These Steps -
Restart Your Tablet And Plug It To The Power .
While Its Plugged In Please Check For Software Update On Your Phone
Also Make Sure Your Router Firmware Is Also Updated .
After You Update Your Computer Please Restart Your tablet . If This Did Not Fix The Issue Please Reset Your tablet and see if this Works .

@heatherk, how does restarting a computer or phone have to do with it? This does not seem relevant.
Because it will close down all apps and reboot the system, making everything restart, albeit, hopefully correctly.
Can't restart every time WiFi is lost.
Software Updates from Samsung? Are you for real?
Router Firmware? Happens on more than one WiFi system.
Reset the tablet? I in fact did this a while ago, and guess what? Hours worth of getting it reconfigured, the problem persisted.
Please think before you post "solutions".
All I know is that I will lose the internet connection to my Samsung Galaxy tablet when I jiggle the main power jack on the side of my AT&T router (red light goes on). It seems that a momentary router power interruption does this. I can fix the problem by unplugging the router power, letting it sit for a minute, and then plug in router power again. Eventually, the tablet internet hookup returns.

None of this has helped me I have a Samsung tablet and out of no where this morning it started disconnecting it self from WiFi. Very bizarre.

What is the model number of the tablet?
Have you tried starting the tablet is "safe mode" to see if the problem still occurs?
Search online for "Samsung (insert model number) safe mode" to find out how to start the tablet in safe mode.

Figured it out. In my case it was simply a new app I had downloaded for work. Once I uninstalled the app the wifi is back to normal. I dont understand why this was the case but at least it's working. Thank you
