Hi, it worked for a while then it suddenly stopped working. I cleaned again. What are some tricks of the trade for cleaning?

Anything small and pointy will work. Try using an alcohol wipe. Make sure you let it dry before plugging it in. Make sure the cable is flush with the phone. If it isnt there is still more dust to get out. It can take a few tries to get it all out

Ok, so gently clean with something small. Metal is ok. Be gentle. If that doesn't take, replace the lightning dock. Here's a guide

Reemplazo conjunto conector Lightning iPhone 6

Here's parts

If you don't trust yourself to do it. Don't. Any good repair shop should have this done in 20 mins, for $40

This is a simple fix.

Your charging port is dirty. Filled with fine dust particles or pocket lint. Basically, the white part of your charger should touch the phone itself. If there is a gap, it'll need to be cleaned. The harder you press, the more compact it becomes. Use a tooth pick to dig at the port. Be careful not to damage on the prongs. These are near the bottom. I don't recommend using a metal pick as it damages the port very easily. Tooth brush can sometimes work as well. Do this and you'll be up and running in no time.
