What causes the 99 tahoe to overcorrect itself while turning right

All right turns, 99 tahoe jerks to the right. I was told it was "overcorrecting" itself. I would like to know what causes this jerking, its not safe, you have no control over the jerking. Please help.

Hi,

Does it make a clicking sound as well when you turn right? It might be that the CV joint needs to be checked.

Whatever the reason for it, get it checked out by an automobile steering repair service.

A right caliper could be sticking also. Is it smoking or have a bad smell after driving the truck?

It's common that a brake line can go bad internally acting like a check valve and intermittently not let the caliper release.

Other things not mentioned that could cause this would be a worn Pitman Arm, Tie Rod Ends, or Upper and Lower Control Arms.

Check to make sure it's not in 4x4. If you have option, put it in Auto 4x4 or make sure it's in 2 wheel drive. I had a 2008 GMC that would do that on dry pavement if 4x4 was on.
