What causes no picture

Could be the Backlight Inverter has gone a good way just to see if this is the case is by switching the tv on make sure you are on a channel with something going on ie talking then get a torch brighter the better shine it on the screen close up you should be able to make out faint images of the program you are on if this is the case then is will be your Backlight Inverter.

i have found this to be the easy way without taking the tv apart.
