What is going on?
Hi. My macbook for the past few days has been cutting of by itself and now it has upgraded to doing not only that but showing a black screen like it is still on by the light that indicates it is on goes off. I have reinstalled Mac OS did not help, the hard drive physically looks fine. I did first aid it found nothing on it. What could it be?

How long was it on before shutting down. Have you ever spilled anything on it? Is it hot on the bottom backend? How did you (specifically) check the hard drive?
