Why can I not use the screen replacement an 8 gig iPhone?

I recently cracked my iPhone 4s screen. It is an 8 gigabyte version. The kit i was looking at on this site said it was compatible for 16, 32, and 64 gig phones, but not 8 gig phones. I was wondering if there was an alternative kit that I could use, or if the previous kit is possible to use on the 8 gig phone, just not recommended. Thanks!

When the 4S originally came out, there wasn't an 8GB version, only 16,32, and 64. The details are probably based on that original information, as the screens are compatible with any size memory.
