Blue line across one edge of iPhone 4S

Hello, i'm a little stuck at the moment. I recently bought a broken iPhone, the screen was cracked and the home button wasn't working. I spent about 2-3 hours on it as the home button was proving to be tricky! Anyways.. I replaced everything and i thought everything was good, the home button works fine now and the screen functions i.e Touch works well, picture is fine etc.. however there is a faded blue vertical line down the left hand side... Here's a picture:

I'm really not sure what to do. Does anyone have any advice as to what could be the issue?

P.S This was my first attempt at fixing an iPhone!

Lately we've been getting a batch of bad lcds with blue lines like yours. I would start by checking all connections to the lcd assembly, including digitizer.

Make sure nothing is shorting the display as well.

If all else fails, contact your parts distributor and have your lcd replaced.

Yea the screen also goes green then white, when I push in the connector the screen returns to normal, however still with the vertical line. Ill email the supplier now as it must be something to do with the connection.

Could be that the LCD connectors on the board might be broken creating a bridge when you press down on the screen. Can you post a picture of the connector close up?
