Battery not charging more than 2%, what part to replace?

Dear Friends,

Recently I dropped my Moto x(1st gen) in water. I kept the phone in a bag of rice for 50 hrs and switched it on. It charged and worked properly. Until recently when my phone stopped charging more than 50 % and recently it was not charging more than 2 %. I gave it to service center and they said that water damage is not covered under warranty and a new mother board has to be placed.

A specific part is rusted and service center exec said that they cannot solder or alter a specific part. Can one of you guide me what part has to be replaced ?

I have image of the mother board and the part rusted.

Najmul Islam, as you have found out, rice does not do anything. Besides cleaning the logic board immediately with isopropyl alcohol you should always change the battery after an immersion. In your case you want to clean your phones logic board and replace the battery then re-evaluate. Post an image of your logic board and point out the corroded area. Use this guide to help you with that.

Thanks oldturkey03 for the swift response.

Oh! I did not cleaned the logic board with isopropyl alcohol. As a matter of fact, its been more than 25 days my phone got wet in water. I immediately cleaned it and placed in a bag of rice for ~ 50 hrs. After which I charged the phone to 100% and it switched on. After using it for couple of days, I noticed that the battery was not charging more than 70% and few days later, it stopped charging more than 50%. Untill recently, it stopped charging more than 2%. I thought it might be a software issue or due battery calibration, battery is not charging.

I have edited my question with the images attached in it.

Many thanks in advance.

Sounds like the battery could simply be worn out - they wear out and eventually simply need replacing. You should try a new battery first. of course, maybe nothing is wrong with the battery and the charging circuitry is the problem. So you could also try an external battery charger on the old battery, if they make such things these days (In the old days, you could buy external battery chargers, and several batteries, and always have a charged battery ready to swap out when your power-hungry smart phone was spent).
