Where exactly is it leaking?

por

goes right through the base and out the bottom of the machine

I had a NurtiBullet RX for 2 months. Used it about 10 times and found leaking into the motor. I filled the plastic container with water and left it on counter. it did not leak. But when I put the motor cap on tight, it did leak. Not gushing out, but still had leaks. If it did for a new unit, I did not what to wait it out. I took it back immediately.

por

No matter how much I tighten the motor cap on my small ninja it still leaks. What do I do? I like the machine for small smoothies with ice but am thinking of not using it any more due to th leaking and mess.

I called the company that makes NutriBullet and let them know this is my 2nd NB RX that leaks. It was still under warranty. They shipped a new base, the part with the blades to me. They wanted to charge shipping. of course I told them :you have to be kidding. So no shipping. Even if it is out of warranty, the large numbers of complaints with the SAME issue is on the net. A good company will make it right. I say call them and cc the BBB in the area of the home office. It's in CA. I'm not home so I do not recall the city right now. But the issue should be a fix so the newer models do not have this issue. I bought mine at Costo. Costo listens to customers. They will consider the complaints the next time the company wants Costco to sell them.Same with other good companies.

Try tightening the cup tighter to the base. If it continues to leak, you can easily slide off the rubber seal and replace it with a new one to create a new and lasting seal.

What rubber seal would that be? Mine does not have one! I wonder if that is why it leaks!!

por

Mine doesn't either!

por

where to get the rubber gasket is the issue

por

Mine does not have a rubber seal either maybe they improved them and the newer ones do have rubber seals. Going to bed bath and beyond to check them out today.

por

the sealing gasket is exactly the same color as the cap - hard to see. I had to actually poke at it with something sharp to discover it. Either way, I replaced the gasket and it still leaks . I wonder if a new cup might be needed.

It shouldn't leak. It does! The problem is with the design. Turn something with liquid in it upside down with only a screw cap to seal it (and believe me, I've screwed it on as hard as I can) and apply a very strong force - the motor - it's going to leak.

This is a design fault. Unless Nutribullet come up with a better closing device, the obvious will occur!

I have tried it every way - smaller and smaller amounts of fruit/veg/water etc. etc.....

Smaller amounts leak less, but they then don't give enough yield. So you have to make up 3-4 batches and still have to try to clean out the machine.

This is not satisfactory in this age! We went to the moon in the 1960s and the space agey looking nutribullet cant produce a leak free drink???? It seems not to be fit for the purpose it was designed for.

The thing that sells this piece of equipment is it's very, very sexy. Beautifully designed and packaged, but what use is attractive form without equally attractive function?

Problem is put the screw cap at the top - the right way up, and it looks pretty much like any other blender! And just about any other blender that has a motor from 600 - 900 watt (and you can get them - check it out online) can do the job as well and have longer running times if needed.

I will be contacting Capbran Holdings to try and resolve the leaking issue, but from what Im reading online i dont hold out much hope!

Wouldn't buy one again and would recommend to a friend that they get a good quality blender/liquidiser with a strong motor. It'll do the same job without the mess!

I have only had the Nutribullet 900 a few weeks and it is already leaking underneath in the very-hard-to-clean gully surrounding the underneath rubber part. ALL I want, and thought I had, is a good blender that does the job. Any ideas welcome. People keep saying that Nutribullets is a design fault. This is why I hate buying things. often you THINK you have done the research, then you buy it, and then find you've made a massive mis-take. This is how I am feeling. So please, what is solution to the existing problem, and second which serious blender do people here recommend?

My nutribullet has also started to leak after having it and using it for a long time. I read about a rubber gasket to replace and I do not think ours has one either. It leaks around the blade area and also goes thru to the bottom. People are saying this is a design flaw. I am wondering if that is true.

Mine is the magic bullet 900 and it did not come with a rubber gasket either. I called customer service today and they said that every unit has a built in rubber gasket in the blade. Mine never came with one. The warranty is a year and by the time that I discovered this, it was out of warranty, but I called customer service and they gave me a discount on a new blade assembly (they send a whole new assembly since the rubber gasket comes built-in). Mine has been leaking from the area where the blade assembly meets the clear container where the food goes since I got it as a gift for Christmas December 2016. I like someone else wrote, have tried everything to get it to stop leaking. I have tightened it as hard as I could to the point where I have had trouble getting the lid to twist off after blending. I have used less liquid. I have tried using just a little bit of everything. I stopped using ice or anything that it might have trouble blending. Nothing has worked. You can see the liquid come bubbling up through the blade cap as it blends and then when you take off the unit, it has filtered through the base and made a mess onto the counter. A couple of times, if I didn't catch it and stop it right away, it has bubbled over and sprayed the walls. Fingers crossed that this works!!

I just bought a magic bullet 900. Didn't leak the first time I used it but every time since. I have to hold it down in order for it to work. Leaks all over the place. Very disappointed for the amount of money I spent. It makes a great product but if I have to spend time to clean up something I shouldn't have to clean what's the point?

Jose Rivera, your response does not answer the question at all. ifixit is not about referring to the manufacturer but about how to fix it yourself. Ever tried to get the manufacturer to fix their appliances.?

por

Thankyou Jose.

Is this the full number - from UK. And where am I calling?

Yes I have got the manufacturer to fix their appliances. I consider it the very least they can do if they sell me a duff product. If not, they're going to get a very bad rep the publicity of which affects their sales.

Best, Nowhere Girl.

por

The manufacturer should not charge for a defective product or part. If the item is within the warranty, any parts and shipping should be free. If you buy the Bullet from.Costco, they refund, no problem . The more a store hears customer complaints about a product they sell, they stop buying from the vendor.

por

My old magic bullet never leaked. My first nutriti bullet leaked so I bought another one. It also leaks no matter how tight I put the lid on. I am so disappointed that I rarely use it. Bum product ....I will never buy from them again. May go on Facebook and warn others...save ,your money.
